The bee museum is located in one of the oldest farmsteads of Renon, in the more than 500 years old "Plattnerhof" with a roof made of straw and shingles After a careful restauration of the rustic building, the Museum opened in 1991.

In the interior the rooms are shown, as if the inhabitants would return every moment. The typical kitchen with the fire place and the carbon black vault, the stube (living room panelled with wood)and the bed room. The core of the bee museum is located in the barn, in the cellar and in the sty: the collection from old bee baskets and bee cases, from old honey centrifuges and honey presses, from different tools of the apiarist.

Exterior: the world an the life of the bees is illustrated and explained in different points of the teaching path.
